Kylene Lovat was very proud to be announced Australian Small Business Champion Winner (2022). This was the first business award Kylene entered, so was thrilled to be recogonised at a national level.
Based in Coogee / Sydney, Smashcake was the world's first online store of its kind. As the original creator of the Smashcake concept (chocolate pinatas created to look like traditional celebration cakes -but designed to be smashed with a hammer) , Kylene was honoured to be awarded for her entreprenuership and creative concept.
Smashcake started as part time business ,launched online the day her eldest son Haiden started Kindergarten. Today, Smashcake is a family business with her husband Steve working alongside her full time and her two boys, Haiden (now 18) and Jesse all involved with the day to day business operations.
Kylene is proud to have helped other makers across the country set up their own Smash Cake and Chocolate Businesses and to be recogonised across Australia as the industry innovator and leader of Smash Cakes.
