How much notice is required to order a Smash Cake?
As our Smash Cakes are handmade to order, we request 3 days notice for online Smash cake orders.
If you require a last minute order, or same day Smash Cake delivery, please contact us first to confirm availability. We will do our best to accommodate last minute orders where possible.
What type of chocolate are the Smash Cakes made of?
Our Milk & Dark Smashcakes are made with a premium quality CADBURY chocolate.
Our white chocolate Smash Cakes are made with Nestle chocolate.
What are the different Smashcake fillings?
1.THE OG- The Original Smashcake lolly filling! Yummy Cadbury Fresha party mix (price inclusive)
2. THE OMG- Take it to the next level with the OMG filling!
This one includes the OG filling + the addition of Allen's party mix
lollies, Allen's freckles, M&M's & sour lollies. (+$12)
3. THE COMBO- A combo of chocolate & lollies! Includes Allen's party mix, Cadbury party mix, Allen's freckles, M&M's, sour lollies, chocolate honeycomb & maltesers (+$15)
4. THE GF- Gluten free lollies & gluten free chocolate honeycomb (+$15)
Can I have my Smash Cake delivered?
Yes our Smashcakes can be delivered to your home or work place. Our Smash Cakes are delivered in Sydney Monday-Saturday morning. Prices start at $9.99. Check our post code delivery calculator on the home page.
*We personally hand deliver all of our Smash Cakes in our
specially equipped Smashmobile! This is to ensure the greatest care is
taken delivering our Smashcakes and they arrive safely. This also
enables our customers have direct contact with us throughout the
delivery process.
How do I store my Smashcake?
In a cool, dry area, void of direct sunlight. eg. In a cupboard or on a table, bench top.
* PLEASE DO NOT STORE SMASHCAKES IN THE FRIDGE. Refrigeration will cause the chocolate to "bloom"- turn white.
Extra care should be taken when storing Smash Cakes with edible
images. These should be stored away from humidity, preferably in an air
conditioned space.
What size & weight are the Smashcakes? How many people will they serve?
Our Original Cupcake Style Smashcakes & our Medium Dome Smashcakes weigh approx 2.2 kg.
If you allow a 50 gm serving size (the size of a standard chocolate bar) this would cater for up to 20 guests.
Large Dome Smash Cakes weigh approx 3.5 kg & are an ideal size for larger parties of 30-40.
Drip style & "hat box" shaped Smashcakes weigh approx 3- 4.5 kg (depending on size) & are also ideal for larger parties.
Tiered Smash Cakes can weigh up to 10kg (depending on tier sizes)
Do the Smashcakes contain dairy, gluten, nuts or egg?
The majority of our Smashcakes contain dairy & gluten. We do have
a couple of gluten free smash cake options available. Our Smashcakes
may also contain traces of tree nuts, peanuts and egg, so would not
recommend them to customers with dairy, nut or egg allergies.
PLEASE NOTE- if you are shopping around for Smash Cakes, please be
aware of weights, along with the "quality" of the chocolate &
fillings. At The Original Smashcake we do not compromise on quality OR
size & know that we will offer you the best quality product
available at the most reasonable price.
